In collaboration with Rotary Club of Delhi Riverside and with the support of the Noida Authority Horticulture Department, Team Volunteers137 carried out a plantation drive by planting native Jamun (Indian Blackberry) trees along the Metro road adjoining the Kondli Storm Water Drain at Sector 137, Noida.

The plantation drive witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Rajesh Agarwal, Mini Agarwal, P.K. Gupta, Madhu Gupta, Ajit Mishra, Manisha Mishra, Rohit Dubey, Rashmi Dubey, Seema Mehra, and Manish Bhartiya from Rotary Club of Delhi Riverside, demonstrating a shared commitment towards environmental conservation and ecological restoration.

Jamun is an indigenous fruit-bearing tree that plays an important role in ecological restoration. It provides shade, improves air quality, enhances urban green cover, supports biodiversity, and offers nutritious fruit for birds, pollinators, wildlife, and the local community. Planting native fruit-bearing species strengthens local ecosystems, improves urban biodiversity, and contributes to long-term environmental resilience.

This initiative is another step towards restoring green corridors along the Kondli Storm Water Drain and creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Noida.

Together, we continue to work towards ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, and building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable Noida.
