This year’s Durga Puja at Sector 137 Durga Puja Ground will be remembered as one of the most vibrant and heartwarming celebrations our community has ever witnessed. On behalf of the Durga Puja Samiti, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to every resident of Sector 137 for your immense love, participation, and unwavering support.

Our theme this year — “Women Empowerment” — struck a deep chord with everyone. The beautifully designed pandal, the art installations, and the cultural performances reflected the strength, grace, and resilience of women, and the theme truly resonated with all who attended.

The cultural programs were a huge hit, drawing enthusiastic participation and applause each evening. On Navami, 1st October 2025, we experienced an unprecedented turnout — with over 1.2 lakh people visiting the Puja ground. The atmosphere was electric, and the grounds remained choc-a-bloc with devotees and visitors till almost midnight.

We were honoured by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Honourable MP of Gautam Budh Nagar Dr. Mahesh Sharma Ji, Honourable MLA of Dadri Shri Tejpal Nagar Ji, Additional District Magistrate (Finance) Gautam Budh Nagar Shri Atul Kumar Ji, BJP Gautam Budh Nagar President Shri Abhishek Sharma Ji and BJP Greater Noida Mandal President Shri Arpit Tiwari Ji along with a host of other dignitaries who graced the occasion and extended their blessings.

This year also brought its share of challenges. The heavy rains on Ashtami morning caused severe waterlogging, with almost a foot of water accumulating on the ground. But the sheer determination and teamwork of our committee members ensured that we overcame this obstacle swiftly. Within a very short span, we restored normalcy and ensured the festivities continued without disruption. I am truly proud of the dedication and spirit shown by every member of our team.

Our three-day community bhandara was another highlight, where over 1,100 devotees were served food daily with love and devotion.

A special word of thanks to the Sector 142 Police Station, the Noida Authority , the Noida Phase 2 Fire Station , the Volunteers 137 team led by Shri Abhisht Gupta Ji and all the Apartment Owner Associations ( AOAs ) of the 8 societies in this sector for their continuous support and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and safe celebration.

As we bid farewell to Maa Durga, our hearts are filled with both emotion and anticipation — emotion for the end of this beautiful festival, and anticipation for her return next year with renewed blessings and joy.
