A constructive police–citizen interaction was held on July 3, 2026, at 9:30 PM in Sector 137, Noida, bringing together senior police officials and resident representatives to discuss key issues concerning public safety, law and order, and community welfare.

The meeting was graced by Shri Rajeev Gupta, ACP III and Chowki Incharge Preeti, who interacted with residents and listened to their concerns. Shri Rajeev Gupta emphasized the importance of proactive policing and active public participation in creating a safe and secure neighborhood. Chowki Incharge Preeti assured residents that the issues raised would receive prompt attention and appropriate action.

The interaction was attended by S. K. Gautam, Vorish Varshney, Archana Shukla, Preeti Sharma, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Som Shekhar Jha, and Mohd. Shahid, who actively participated in the discussion.

The key issues raised by the residents included:

* Illegal parking of commercial cabs in and around residential areas, causing traffic congestion and inconvenience.

* Encroachment by illegal street vendors in public spaces, affecting pedestrian movement and the overall cleanliness of the locality.

* Strengthening night patrolling within and around residential societies to enhance security, deter criminal activities, and improve residents' sense of safety.

* Concerns regarding aggressive stray dogs and instances where the process of capturing or relocating such dogs was allegedly being obstructed. Residents requested appropriate action against any individual found hindering the lawful discharge of duties by the authorities. It was also requested that the directions contained in the Noida Authority's letter, issued in compliance with the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, be implemented in accordance with the applicable law, while ensuring both public safety and animal welfare.

Shri Rajeev Gupta, ACP III, assured the gathering that all concerns would be examined in accordance with the law and in coordination with the local police and the concerned authorities. He encouraged residents to continue supporting community policing efforts by reporting suspicious activities and maintaining regular communication with the local police.

The meeting concluded on a positive note with a shared commitment by the police and residents to work together towards making Sector 137 a safer, cleaner, and better-managed neighborhood through regular dialogue and collaborative action.
