Among their contributions one of the biggest, was the protest he led to ban discharge of sewage waste in Hindon river & Kondli drain to prevent pollution of groundwater and river Yamuna where around 500 MLD of sewage and industrial waste was prevented from being discharged in Hindon and Yammuna vis-a-vis Ganges rivers. Also, protection and restoration of 1031 water bodies and 192 wetlands comprising of 144 thousand hectares and protest against the use of single use plastic are also some of their major works. The stinking murky water of this drain is one of the major causes of pollution in Yamuna impacting a large population size, i.e. approximately 5 lakhs and also causing vulnerable impact on natural diversity of river. Yamuna is the second-largest tributary river of the Ganga and the longest tributary in India. The stench emanating from this drain is making life of residents difficult.
